For the past week I’ve been dealing with back issues, meaning I’ve been forced to to as close to nothing as possible. It sucks, but at least I enjoy watching a good (or bad) movie! Here’s what I watched today.
Saint Maud (2019)
I know I’m like the last one tot he party on this one. My bad. This one is worth the watch. The story was able to draw me in. You’re watching a downward spiral, a downward spiral that takes at least someone else for a ride as well. I thought I knew how it was going to end, but I was kind of wrong. It ended slightly how I thought it was going to. That ending scene though, it was honestly kind of beautiful.
We Still Say Grace (2020)
Bruce Davison is all I knew about this film. I didn’t read the description – sometimes it’s fun to not do that. Just click on a movie and hit play. At first I thought I was going to be stuck watching a weird period piece. That was until these “outsiders” stumbled into the twisted family tree unfolding in front of you. The family you’re watching has a secret, that only is brought to light due to these outsiders being there. This film is worth a watch, it’s a little bit of a slow burn.
The Lords Of Salem (2012)
One of my favorite films. Not going to lie. From the story to the stunning visuals, I’m all about it. If the story and the very vivid visuals didn’t line up, it would be a different film & I’m sure I wouldn’t have watched it for the 100th time.
The Green Inferno (2013)
I wouldn’t say this is a favorite of mine, it just seems like one of those comfortable films we all have. We put it on because we don’t really have to pay attention to it, and we want some kind of noise going on. This is one I’ve seen a few times and as I said, it’s not a favorite but a comfortable film.
Ice Cream Man (1995)
Just a campy 90s horror movie about a psycho ice cream man. I don’t think many towns have an ice cream man any more – mine does though! So I have to say this film didn’t age well due to that fact. No one fears the ice cream man anymore, so this film doesn’t have the same effect. I do enjoy this film. This is another one I’ve seen many times before. After watching it, I just want to watch Dr. Giggles (1992)
